This time of year is great for sports. Major League Baseball is right around the corner; personally I enjoy watching the World Baseball Classic. It's like watching the olympics, but only for baseball. The NFL Draft is about a month away, and the Lions, because they failed to win a game last year, have the #1 overall pick. They also have picks #20 and #33; god I hope they can return to being a good football team, whenever that actually was.
But the major thing right now in sports is the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. There is a lot of talk about who gets in to the tournament and who's left out, but I don't really bother with that. I'm more concerned with who is going to win it all. I think it comes down to Pittsburgh and North Carolina with the ladder of the two winning it all. But watch out for those Spartans of Michigan State. They are really inconsistant, however, if they wind up as a #2 or #3 seed, they will be the superior team in their first few rounds, and should be able to advance to at least the Elite Eight. There is a reason Tommy Izzo has gone to all those Final Fours. The official brakets are released by CBS starting at 6:00pm Sunday and I will post mine in the following days. I say CBS "starts" releasing them at 6pm because they have increasingly drawn out this process to make room for advertisements, sponsorships and commercials. God I love it and hate it all at once.
