frank sinatra performs "something" by the beatles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpt8-EGUtJA
frank sinatra is such a G. he's right about the song, it is one of my favorite love-song-ballads and him singing it makes the words resonate in my body even more than the original by george harrison. some of the comments below the video on youtube are funny.

... and on the count of 3, go.
flyer than the rest of 'em, higher than the rest of 'em,
more creative and elated clear-minded not sedated when
i, write and sing a "thing" i think comes fast and blinks like light too bright i might
just, stop and stumble and mumble to myself what else can i say about this moment and time of this day, ways change like those days and how it would, should, and could be that we, constantly stay in this "want to be" frame of thought that only seems to get better when we compare things we bought.

frank lloyd wright
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203609204574314271006984340.html
this article is intriguing to me as i recently visited new york and the guggenheim museum (designed by wright). i was intrigued to find out how much frank lloyd wright clashed with other architects, artists, and anyone else who perceived his ideas as, for lack of a better word, ludicrous. this summer, the museum is featuring a great percentage of his drawings and work. although the aforementioned "haters" would disagree, i think it's a great shame that more of buildings were never constructed. his masterpieces never cease to amaze me.

exerpt from "Khabzela: The Life and Times of a South African"
I asked: "So you knew he was unfaithful but you didn't realize the extent of it till after you found out you had HIV?"
Sibongile replied: "Sometimes, when you're in a relationship you try not to see things. Then people come and tell you stuff but you still ignore it because you love this person and you want to make it right. There was a time when we fought a lot and I didn't know why we were fighting. There was just confusion. When we fought, he would bring me here (to my father's house). And when I went back to the house, I would find a sign that there was a woman there. You see how women are. You think you are the owner of the house but we are many.

Old Man Plays "I Am The Walrus"
Exactly what the title would suggest. Judge for yourself, as this is an instrumental, but this guy (I'm guessing his name is Ned) can play; and his guitar sounds great. He's got some other good covers too.

Wind/Solar Energy
"...Renewable energy provides a small fraction of electricity used today, but the wind and solar sectors are the fastest growing in the U.S. In 2008, the U.S. became the world's leading provider of wind power..."
Unfortunately, T. Boone Pickens is looking foolish for failing to move forward with creating the world's largest "wind farm", which was set to start providing energy as early as 2014. The plan was for some 600-700 wind turbines (standing roughly 400 feet tall!) to be set in a giant 200,000 acre plot of land in the Texas pan-handle, with enough power to supply energy to some 1 million homes.
This is just a set back, however. The Texas billionaire has already ordered the turbines (from an American company, General Electric) and will begin looking at setting up several, smaller wind farms not only in Texas, but in parts of the midwest and southern Canada.
