i CAN be responsible
recognize what is going on in our own mind.
it seems natural to blame the outside world.
suffering or happiness.
the cause = within our mind.
take responsibility for changing our mind.
thus increasing happiness, and decreasing suffering.
i.e. better designed house, prefering different foods.

Lyrics
Ice-age heat wave, can't complain.
If the world's at large, why should I remain?
Walked away to another plan.
Gonna find another place, maybe one I can stand.
I move on to another day,
to a whole new town with a whole new way.
Went to the porch to have a thought.
Got to the door and again, I couldn't stop.
You don't know where and you don't know when.
But you still got your words and you got your friends.
Walk along to another day.
Work a little harder, work another way.
The days get shorter and the nights get cold.
I like the autumn but this place is getting old.
I pack up my belongings and I head for the coast.
It might not be a lot but I feel like I'm making the most.
The days get longer and the nights smell green.
I guess it's not surprising but it's spring and I should leave...
From "The World at Large" by Modest Mouse (Good News for People Who Love Bad News)
*An awesome album- totally different and easy to get lost in. Song after song run side by side one another, some build up and some fall down. Truely a disc worth playing all the way through.

andre 3000
[Andre 3000]I said, "what time you get off?"
She said, "when you get me off"
I kinda laughed but it turned into a cough Because I swallowed down the wrong pipe
Whatever that mean, you know old people say it so it sounds right
So I'm standing there embarassed, if we were both in paris
I would have grabbed her by the waist and kissed her, but
We in the middle of whole foods, and those foods Ain't supposed to beef, but you'd think I hate tofu
Check-in line got rowdy, my vision got cloudy
I started seeing some circles like some audi
Emblem, I'm hearing them say, come on man Do this own your own time, get the hell on,
man I walked out, I got bout Half-way to my car when I heard shorty shout "3000, forgot your credit card, smart move
By the way, my little sister loves your cartoon
"Well, here's my name and numb
If I ain't the one, lose it, if I am, use it If a man chooses, and he can, do's it
And he don't, don't take it personal, he might be might be swamped
With making mozarella - no, making laws bettter
Cheese will come, believe me, I'm, never focussed on the cash
Ask Mel Gibson, Jesus Christ, I'm bout the pass...out.

Dr. Thinkwell's Calculus
Problem solving reminders; because you can't answer a question that you don't understand.
1. Understand what's being asked, what you want.
2. Determine what you already/can know.
3. Find a connection between what you want and what you know.

African Proverbs
Talking with one another is loving one another.
Let your love be like the misty rain, coming softly, but flooding the river.
Sorrow is like a precious treasure, shown only to friends.
If you watch your pot, your food will not burn.
He who cannot dance will say: "The drum is bad."
Rain beats a leopard's skin, but it does not wash out the spots.
Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.
It is the fool's sheep that break loose twice.
One falsehood spoils a thousand truths.
When the fool is told a proverb, its meaning has to be explained to him.

The spirit of "goods"
In New Zealand, the Maori people consider "Hau" as the spirit of goods and things and how that spirit attaches itself to a certain part of a person. Say for instance, as a graduation gift, you get a new leather case for your laptop from your parents. The leather case might not be as important to you if instead you went out and bought the same case yourself.
